Awards Program
The Awards Committee is seeking nominations for the ABCD Awards Program. Awards will be presented for bridge projects in the following categories:

Outstanding New or Reconstructed Short Span(s) Bridge
-
Outstanding New or Reconstructed Medium Span(s) Bridge
-
Outstanding New or Reconstructed Long Span(s) Bridge
-
Outstanding Rehabilitated Bridge
The Awards Committee will place each nominee in the most appropriate category. These categories have been selected in order to recognize the most deserving projects within the local bridge industry. Award winners will have the opportunity to give a brief presentation at the ABCD Awards Banquet. All award submissions not recognized as category winners will receive an Outstanding Achievement certificate and have the opportunity to display their project at the April dinner meeting.
An entry fee of $50.00 should accompany each submission and be addressed to ABCD Susquehanna Chapter.
To be eligible:

The bridge must have been designed, fabricated, constructed, or owned by a member, in good standing, of the ABCD Susquehanna Chapter (PA and out-of-state projects are eligible). Also, please highlight the local office contribution to the design effort as part of the write-up.

The bridge project must be substantially completed within the 2024 or 2025 construction seasons.

Previous ABCD award-winning projects are not eligible; however, non-winning bridge projects submitted last year are eligible for resubmission in this year’s contest, as long as the project meets all other Nomination Criteria.
- Firms may submit up to three nominations.
Nominated projects for the 4 award categories will be judged based on the following criteria:

Technical merit 30%

Aesthetics/Context Sensitive Solutions 15%

Innovation 20%
-
Constructability 25%
-
Member Office Project Contribution 10%
